I have a confession

I can’t seem to keep a layout on for more than 2 months. I don’t know how others do it. Ever since Placid was released, I have been working on two layouts, one for a club/program I am in and another for me. But that’s another story. How do you guys do it? Everytime I see my layout, I get sick of it more and more and I get even more sad when I notice all the beautiful sites out there.

Is anyone else in the same boat as me or is this a one man ship?

I dunno, I’m just lazy usually. I have no motivation to create a new one. As long as everyone doesn’t shout that my layouts are hideous then I can live with them.

How do I do it? I worry more about making decent posts rather than having an awesome layout. I can’t design at all, either. But, if I did have the knowledge to design great layouts, I’d probably be guilty of doing the same.

It’s nice to keep your creativity juices flowing. Perhaps if you get sick of one layout, put it up for others to use and don’t let your latest design be used. (Bah, I don’t know how to word it.)

    same here,

I am constantly thinking of new designs and new tricks to try – even when my current design is just finished and uploaded. When looking at my sites I am always in the mood to “just re-do it all from scratch” ;)

However this is supposed to be good as it keeps one busy and up to date!

    cheers,
    Chris

I’m the same.. I can’t just “settle”. Lately, whatever layout I have stays simply because I’m too busy with other sites… so maybe that’s the trick, STOP LOOKING AT YOUR DESIGN and you won’t be sick of it.

:) Yay for the not-so-bland header *claps*

Thats good that you’re always trying to reinvent more layouts, you’re not the type to just remain with the same old status quo.

That happened to me when I had tons of time to put up a new layout. It is not like I don’t dislike my layout right now, I just have no time to change it. Haha, maybe like Kat said, stop looking at it. XD

I just don’t have the TIME to design a layout and put it up without taking away from something that I need to do, like work at my assistantship or write papers.

I used to change my layout all the time. Actually, I used to have my site skinned when I used to use MT. So the last 8 months or so have been strange for me because I haven’t been changing my layouts as often as I used to. I am sick of my current layout though. So I feel your pain.
