In other news, I just read some of my old posts from 2003 and noticed that my writing was definitely different and so was my maturity. So, I’m setting those to private. With the way potential clients/employers/anyone looking up your info so easily, there’s no need for anyone to read about how I was before.

I’m already bored. Well, in the sense that I feel like I have nothing to look forward to even if it’s the typical 9-5 job. However, hopefully while looking for a job, I hope to accomplish several things. I recently discovered Los Angeles’ Official Visitor’s Site which is surprisingly, full of updated information on what to do in Los Angeles. Things like walking tours (self guided), scenic drives, free museums, I’d like to check out all of that while bringing my camera along so I can take pictures. My newest layout, which is just a simple design is almost done. Just need to update the single posts page, comments area and fine tune the minor details. Hopefully I can have it up by the end of this week. I would also like to redo the header image but won’t if I can’t think of anything.

Photowalk

I went to Newport Pier on Sunday with Norma, Brian (and his son, Rex), Bryan, Cody and Jay and walked around taking some pictures. I got some decent pictures and will upload it to my flickr account after I process some of the photos. So far, I’m still taking at least one picture a week, hopefully my skills will improve. I am going to go with my friend Chris on Thursday to walk around downtown LA to shoot come pictures. Probably pass by Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, Walt Disney Concert Hall and Museum of Contemporary Art, the idea coming from here.

Other things I’d like to do are take a scenic drive on Mulholland Drive which is apparently has a gorgeous view and just wonder around Griffith Park (largest city park in the country) and maybe check the observatory while I’m at it. Hey, I’m unemployed, I have all the time in the world!

The problem with it is, I am lazy

Of course, with ipods leading around 75% of the mp3 player market, most of the music I hear are from people carrying ipods. Now before I owned an ipod, I always bought earphones from companies that specialized in…audio. Makes sense right? Spend a bit more money and get better audio quality. Because of that, i never actually tried those trendy white earbuds that come with every Apple Ipod package. My first time listening to it, on a train, was yesterday due to my forgetting to pack my earphones into my bag which I normally do.

All I can say is wow, those are the worst earphones that went into my ears. Not only are they uncomfortable after a while, the music volume is so loud that I had to raise the volume to its max to be able to listen to my music at the sound level I am usually accustomed to. Because of that, when I take off my earphones I can hear the music in the same way I would hear other people’s music when I am not listening to my Ipod. I guess Apple’s to blame for that. Now, I know mostly all the other companies music players have equally horrible earphones in hopes that you would buy better ones. But, Apple has such a huge market for music players they could probably spend an extra dollar or two and make it so the earphones are sound isolating, noise canceling or over the ear earphone.

I figured with all the money I spend on an overpriced product (mainly buying for the awesome community support/development compared to other products) that I’d get a better quality earphone seeing as that is what is transmits the audio from the player itself into my ear. No one likes to listen to someone else’s taste in music, too bad we live in corporate America where its all about the amount of money products can bring in and not as much so about the quality of the experience they are trying to sell.
