To everyone in the world, happy new years! My condolences to the ones who have suffered cause of the tsunami/earthquake and I wish a quick recovery.

New Year's Resolutions!

  1. More gym, less sweets.
  2. Be nicer, I guess.

I am a man of perfection, that's why I don't need many resolutions. -OR- I can't seem to remember them since this post was a good idea last night when I was about to sleep but I can't seem to remember any of the resolutions I had in my mind. In any case, what are yours?

77,000 dead and counting. If you haven't been up with the news, on Sunday there was a 9.0 earthquake off the coast of Indonesia. Instant 4,000 dead. If that wasn't bad enough (fourth most powerful earthquake since the earthquakes started being recorded) the tsunami that rose after the earthquake literally rose to 5 stories high and wiped out endless buildings and resorts. The place that got hit the worse was Indonesia, with currently over 40,000 dead and many missing. Sri Lanka also got hit pretty badly, as the tsunami swept the entire island from the looks of the graphs that displayed the paths of the tsunami that reached as far as Somalia, Africa.

Christmas and readings.0

Christmas is over, I hope all of you guys had a great Christmas. I got the only things I needed for my gifts, a pair of sweatpants/sweater (man, no one has any idea how comfortable these are to wear) and money. I was hoping for a laptop but my dad told me if I could wait til Summer, he could get me a IBM Thinkpad T42 which is like the workhorse of laptops. So I will wait. I was going to get an iBook but if I can get there, I will.

Last week I didn't really do much. I read The Da Vinci Code (why do people spell it as davinci, it's two words), The Stranger, and some css and xhtml books. Always good to keep my memory refreshed and I learned some neat tricks that I didn't know about before. Right now, I am in the library and I am planning on checking out the following books:

  1. The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck as suggested by Chrissie
  2. Sir Apropos of Nothing by Peter David as suggested by Kimberly
  3. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (first, second and fourth in the series)

I should be done reading these within a few days. Anyone else have any other suggestions?

It's Kimberly's and Alycia's birthday! They are one of the few hostees I have kept over these years I have been hosting and they will turn 18 today.

On another note, that's weird how they both have the same birthdate.

It's that time of year again, finals. And I swamped with studying to do. Now I was wondering (while procrastinating cause I should be studying now but I am blogging instead) what would happen if I had never procrastinated in my life. And I came up with this list.

  1. I would be a lot healthier (no more late night studying as I would be on top of things)
  2. Less frowns, more smiles
  3. Higher grades
  4. More work done and it would be thorough
  5. Less tired, corralates with health

I can't think of anymore but if you have one something I might've missed, add it in comments and I'll update the post with it.

Finals is coming up. That means more studying for me and less chat/playtime. I have a math (ARG!!!) test on Monday, an essay due Wednesday and of course some other things I can’t think of right now (1AM) that I know I’ll think of tomorrow. Which means, I won’t be able to play with my site until….I don’t know. I am trying to set Wednesday and Thursday as a day for me to fix site problems but we will see.
