V2 update0

I am pretty much done with the layouts on v2. The only problem I have now is making them look alike in IE AND Firefox and when I have time, Opera also. The photo gallery has been redesigned as a promise I made to myself and the resource section is still being skinned and new links added in. If you want to work on it, it’s just a resource section with links to other sites (tutorials, resources, etc), then leave a comment. I will probably end up giving full control to them after a while.

I promise the layout will be out by the latest, Sunday.

Thanksgiving Aftermath0

After eating all this food + leftovers, I feel I need to lose weight. I had so much turkey that I am sick of it now. But it was fun. Actually, this weekend was overall pretty enjoyable. I mean, I am suffering now because of the essays I pushed back but it’s worth it (I won’t be saying that when I am still up at 3 working on it). On friday, Elise had a birthday party and it was so much fun for her. Watching her run around all hyperactive cause of all the sugar she was loaded up with. My cousins have also banned me from using their digicamcorder since I suck with it :)

Saturday, I went to library to meet up with Christy and check her personal statement then hit the gym right after. Speaking of statements, I finished mine (hitting the amount of words right on the dot) and just need to have my English teacher glance at it before I submit it Monday night. Everyone pray I get in…and if you have connections, talk to me (I want in UCLA) :) .

And I thought I was stupid…0

Typically after English class, a group of classmates would go outside and just talk. It has evolved into a ritual and it's just pretty neat. They even want to form an exclusive club on the school called the thinktank and we would have enough club members to start off. We talk about anything from sex, politics, schools, magic (one guys a magic guy) and etc.

Well, that's not what this post is about; it was just something I wanted to say :) . I wanted to go to In-N-Out after class that day since some of my friends were already there. I asked the thinktank and a few came away. By a few, I mean two. One was going to go but he needed to lose weight. He didn't need to lose weight. Anyways, when we got their we met up with two other friends but one had to leave so there were four people left: me, Mat, Matt, and Vineet.

Now, while we were eating, school and what not came up. Went from school to other subjects. Then we hit the subject of Australia which was the result of places we wanted to visit. Me and Mat were talking about it but then all of a sudden Matt chimed in with something along the lines of this:

1/3rd of Australia's mass is covered with water

Hold the phone. The hell? When stupid things like this are said, I literally have to sit and think about it and review to see if I was taught wrongly in my life.

Mat decided to correct him…

Well you know Australia's a big island right….and that has to be surrounded by water

Man, when Matt thought about what he said, it was so freaking hilarious. I mean, in the end he meant to say that a third of Aussie's population lives next to water but the wording on the previous phrase was just too funny.

And you would think things like this would just happen once but few mins later another subject was brought up along the lines of the previous one and Matt decided chimed in saying….

Well, Madagascar is a continient you know..

What the hell? Good thing he picked up his mistake right when he said it but damn, that is some stupid crap coming out of his mouth. Mind you, this is a honors student and even though honors student doesn't automatically make someone smart, you have to be somewhat intelligent and hard working to get into the program.

We are going to have those conversations as the topic of our discussion on Monday in the thinktank :)

Almost Thanksgiving0

Yay, three more days until I can shove more food down my throat than…..I can handle.

This weekend was tiring for me. On friday I skipped math class so I could go to UCLA for this transfer alliance program our school has with UCLA. A lot of people from different schools all went and it was just a day of getting questions answered and touring the area. Since my friends and I already knew what was going on, we just went and played pool :) . Saturday I had the first of my three tests this week and ended up with a 100% (it was just a lab, code a program, wayyy too easy). Currently, I have a solid A in that class so I am putting that aside so I can concentrate on my other stuff. I worked out, did English homework, studied for Psychology and finished my personal statement for my UC applications. I just need to heavily revise it now….very heavily.

Sunday I just went to gym and studied for Math for the rest of the day. BRAIN HURTED LIKE WHOAAAA. All for today's test on Math and Psychology. Let's hope I pass :) .

Time to clear my head0

Ugh, so many thoughts running through my head while I was running, need to release them somewhere…

  1. I am tired from running but I must do so since I am not satisfied with my body. I could gain to lose 10 pounds and or make it magically turn into muscle. Or just magically look good. Either one would do.
  2. Ugh, I finally got all the pictures uploaded from Friday night. Click here to go view them.
  3. I have 2 tests, wait 3 tests, 3 essays all due by the end of next week. Time to gear up for another stressful week….
  4. I was talking to my friend and found out he got accepted into Harvard with a full ride….only to find out that he rejected them cause of his snobby roommate. I don't know whether to kill myself for hearing that, him for rejecting that or his roommate for being so damn snobby.
  5. I started volunteering/tutoring in the math lab at our schools every Tuesday and Thursday. I do it cause a) it's good to refresh my memory b) I get hours put on transcript c) it's fun at times…..you didn't read c).
  6. More thoughts later. Man, these posts are so much easier to write than one post about a topic. I just type whatever goes on in my head right now. Boobies. heheehhehehe. Boobies

Friday Night Fun0

It’s 3 AM so I’ll make this quick since I am tired but felt I needed to blog.

Tonight…or rather last night I met with my old co-workers and we went to Lucille’s BBQ to get our BBQ on; it was soooo damn good. There was suppose to be a total of 9 people but only 6 showed up to the thing, I freaking hate it when people flake out. If you promise to do something, show up and do not say you will make it for sure. The people will understand and you won’t be looked down upon if you don’t make it. Anyways, I got some baby back ribs and a side order of fries which is some of the tastiest fries ever. Not the best, but it was up there. After that, we chilled there for 1-2 hours and just talked and goofed around. It looked like the waitress hated us but hey, sucks for her. We had to tell with shittiest customers when we all worked at Coldstone.

After we left, we headed over to Coldstone to meet one of the older workers (length of time working, not age) since she couldn’t make it and we all haven’t seen her for a while. AFTER that, we then went to play pool where me and Marc showed Christy and Tai how the game is suppose to be played. Score ended 3-1 and I don’t think both of us have ever played before. I’ve played on the little kids pool table (Fisher Price I think, the 3-in-one tables) and understood the concept (hit ball in hole) but never actually played pool. Needless to say, I either got beginners luck or I am good :) Pictures will be up on gallery as soon as I get them.

  • I heard this psychology and just had to find the article on it. There was a study done where they compared the arousal of homophobes vs non homophobes when watching gay porn. Study SHOWS that homophobics were sexually more aroused than non homophobes. (1) ¥

Nintendo DS, you shall make me broke.0

Has anyone seen commercials for Nintendo DS? It's so freaking sexy. I usually haven't been much of a gamer ever since I entered college but this will put me back there. It retails at $149.99 USD and comes with Metroid: Prime Hunter which is a first person shooter and the graphics look quite nice for a handheld game. Along with the first game, all the other games will retail at $30 USD which is $5 below the GBA games. Here are the cooler features….

  • Dual Screens: Two LCD screens offer one of the most groundbreaking game-play advances ever developed: experiencing a game from two perspectives at once. Imagine the possibilities. In a racing game, drivers might see their own vehicle's perspective on one screen and an overall track view on the other. In a role-playing game, the action could take place on the first screen while the second provides a reference for a player's tools inventory. Game play also could use both screens at once, offering a giant boss for heroes to defeat. In the future, games could be created allowing users to play games on one screen while text messaging other DS users on the other. Each 3-inch screen can reproduce a true 3-D view and is backlit to assure comfortable play in any lighting condition.
  • Touch Screen: The lower screen will offer something never before provided by any game device: PDA-like touch capabilities. Players no longer have to rely on just buttons to move characters or shift perspectives. They can navigate menus or access inventory items simply by touching the screen with stylus or fingertip. A software-based keyboard might even allow the screen to be used as an input center for games and messaging. The possibilities are limited only by developers' imaginations. The screen will have a tougher film cover for durability, and will come with a stylus.
  • Microphone: An available microphone port means that in the future, players might need only to tell their games what to do. DS software could identify everything from voice commands to hand-clapping. Players might be able to move their characters simply by telling them which way to go. The voice capabilities also could allow gamers to chat with one another over the Internet while playing.
  • Wireless: DS users will be able to connect with a local wireless network of up to 16 players. Nintendo's wireless range is 30 to 100 feet, depending on circumstances; multiple users can play multiplayer games using just one DS Game Card. It assures high response rates required for real time game play, and will make use of both IEEE 802.11 and Nintendo's proprietary communication protocol, which provides low battery consumption. Players will be able to chat and play games without any connecting cords, completely untethered. The DS technology also provides for a wireless LAN connection, which could allow a theoretically infinite number of players to connect at a hot spot and compete at a central game hub on the Internet, even if they're thousands of miles apart.
  • Wireless Game Sharing: If software developers desire, multiple players can compete in wireless games, even if only one person has a game card inserted. Players could also test-play games for themselves as long as they stayed connected.
  • 3-D: With the newly developed graphics engine, DS can reproduce impressive 3-D renderings that can surpass images displayed on the Nintendo® 64. Games will run at 60 frames per second, and allow details like fog effects and cel shading.
  • Other Features: Embedded Pictochat software that allows up to 16 users to chat at once; embedded real-time clock; date, time and alarm; touch-screen calibration.

Man, the PictoChat with SA goons is going to be SOOOO funny

A Version2 Update0

Man, this is taking longer than I thought. I am working on a skin switcher depending on the time of day but the first skin is taking me a long time (looking for "bugs," making it more pleasing to my eye). Expect version2 out in 2 weeks…or until I feel like it is ready to be released :) And I blame IE. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't have to fix all these quirks I have in IE.

Being spammed to hell?0

And using Wordpress? Lately, there has been a bot hitting a lot of wordpress blogs under the name "online poker."

Podz, our friendly moderator of the wordpress support forums has created a webpage on ways to combat the spam. Take a gander if you are getting pissed about the issue. I for one, have installed mookitty's spaminator and so far so good.
