I’m baaccckkk4

Just got back from China and it was great. I got pictures from the first few days until I ran out of film and the rest of the trip was on my digicamcorder. I am going to blog later after I clean up, get situated and what not.

It's so good to be with my computer again :)

Recent Happenings7

For the last two weeks, I have just been studying for the finals that I just recently finished. I think I did good on all of them except I was a little bit sketchy on the math one. I do hope I get the grades I want. Thursday, I went to Vidal Sassoon to "change" my hair style. All the stylist did was trim it and made my hair messy up top which is what I wanted. It's easier to maintain then my previous spiked hair; I will get a picture of a before and after next week.

Tomorrow night I am heading to China on a tour for a week. It lasts from Sunday to Sunday so I won't be home until next Sunday night. So if you need me, give me an email next week and I will return it when I can. I just hope the hotels there have some sort of room for people to use with an internet connection like the hotel I went to in Canada did. When I come home next week, I will get started on this project with my hostees, get ready for Calculus 1, and ready to go back to Coldstone. Before I go though, I want to get my resource section up, so that will be my task for tonight and tomorrow along with packing up and going to UCI to get something from my friend.

Since I won't be home for a week, I am typing up an article which I will release during the week through the "edit timestamp" in WP. The topic will be about pingbacks and trackbacks since I know a lot of people who do not know the purpose of it and take it off when customizing their CMS even though it is a useful feature to have. Hopefully the article will be correct but if not, please correct me. Also correct my grammar any time I make a grammatical error since my english writing skills are horrible and I want to improve.

Wordpress 1.2 Final Released1

Crap, right when I thought I upgraded to the newest I find out Matt released 1.2 final. Anyways, features listed here:

 • Sub-categories: Categories can be arranged hierarchically and infinitely deep. Multiple categories combined with sub-categories gives WordPress the most comprehensive taxonomy system of any blogging software available.
 • OPML Export and Import: You can import and export OPML to systems like Bloglines or desktop aggregators like NetNewsWire and FeedDemon.
 • Automatic Thumbnail Creation System: WordPress has a refined upload feature that automatically creates thumbnails any size you want.
 • Encrypted passwords and cookies: All passwords in the database and password cookies are encrypted, ensuring maximal security.
 • New plugin architecture: The new plugin architecture simplifies modifying or extending WordPress' features. Plugins can now hook into nearly every action WordPress does.
 • Localization of WordPress and Unicode support: The efforts put into internationalizing WordPress have borne fruit, and now you can adapt WordPRess to work in your native language. Several translations are already available.
 • Advanced comment moderation: You can now fine-tune your moderation filters in a manner very similar to blacklists for other weblog tools. There is also mass-editing of comments, which makes it a snap to delete hundreds of comments with the click of a button, if necessary.
 • Post preview: Near-instant previews while writing or editing articles help you proofread and make improvements before finally presenting your work of art to the world.
 • RSS and LiveJournal Importers: The new RSS import script is the closest thing to an universal importer. It allows you to import entries from Radio weblogs even other blogging tools that we may not support specifically. The LiveJournal importer finally lets you have a full blooded self-hosted weblog without losing all your old LiveJournal posts.
 • Unlimited update services: Now you can define multiple weblog change monitoring services to be pinged when you post.
 • Directory flexbility: Now you can have all the WordPress files in one directory and the weblog in a higher level directory.

Get it at their site or here.

I'm going to blog later.

New Layout!11

I finally finished this layout after spending countless hours and revisions on it. Chrissie would know, I moan and complained everyday about all the bugs I had. There are still some bugs, mainly browsers compabitility seeing how I use Opera, I checked the site in IE and the images are a little off. I honestly don't know how to fix it so I am going to ask around. This is my first time designing the entire site in CSS and making sure it validates in XHTML strict which I accomplished. :) It took me around a week with finals to do this even though it was so simple. I had to learn most of the properties of CSS which I read about here. I recommend that site to anyone who wants to learn css.

I also updated to the newest Wordpress beta, 1.2 RC and it is stable and smoother than ever. Also, my pingbacks and trackbacks work so I can ping and trackback people now! *does a little jig* Everyone go convert to WP, it's the best! Hostees that want to use it, I'll help. :D Speaking of which, check your emails hostees, I sent you all an email Thursday night and some of you haven't replied back yet.

Oh I forgot, about me and resources are still down. I am exhausted from this layout so it won't be up for a bit. I am just going to blog to entertain you :). Reply if you find anything wrong. Stupidity is banned.

*visitors drop to zero*

Hostees!5

I have just sent all the hostees' whose emails I have, please comment on this blog if you have not recieved an email and leave your email or contact me on AIM.

As for layout, I am done and coding and near complete. These are the sections being taken down when the new layout is up.

Once again, I am leaving this e/n scene since all it has done is trouble me with immature whiners. You can continue sending hate mail but I won't get it since I have those forwarded to some spam account. This site will be my personal weblog and a site webmaster could come to and learn/read up on.

Psychology of Personality and Troy4

If I could change the world, I would make everyone take Psychology of Personality. It's just one of those courses that's interesting although has no applicable use in life nor does it fill any specific class requirements for college. The only problem is that I cannot stand the tests since no matter how hard I study, I still can't seem to get a good grade on it. But the class point system is so diverse that I can make it up in another area. The class discussion and the actual material you learn is quite informative and is the only reason why I like the class so much. For example, studies have shown that a cheerful person dies sooner than a non cheerful person. That itself is quite disturbing and it's a good thing that it is not public knowledge or people wouldn't want to be "cheery" anymore. In addition to the weird material you learn about personalities, you learn a lot about yourself in that class. According to my class, you take multiple tests in which you analyze the results and at the end of the semester you type a paper up with all the results and theories tied together. Not as fun as it sounds, but it's rewarding as you learn more about yourself than you ever would have.

It's finals week next week and I have it relatively "easy." Out of the four classes I have, two of them are take home finals and I already finished one. The other one I have such a high grade in the class that I don't need to worry about it until later. The two finals I need to study for is my math and psychology. I need to get good grades on them as the final will determine the A or B I will recieve in the class. My english final was just an essay critiquing the class so I finished that up yesterday and sent it to my cousin (who I love so much for putting up with my horrible writing skills) to help me revise it. My econ final is a packet of 50 multiple choice questions on two chapters. Easy enough, I have been getting A's without studying for any of his tests so I just need to put some time into this one. I checked my grade and I could get a D on the final and still maintain my A in the class. Thank god for his weird point system.

So far since Thursday I have been doing schoolwork in the daytime and nighttime except for last night when I decided to work on my layout for a while. It's done, completely designed in CSS and also got it validated XHTML STRICT 1.0 and CSS. I am pretty happy about the layout since I never designed in CSS before but I won't release it until I finish the other sections on my site; expect the layout up in a few days.

Oh, I also went to watch Troy last night. Quite interesting, when I first saw the trailers I was already set on watching it since I loved greek mythology when I was a kid. This movie didn't bother putting in important details about the myth. But hey, it's Hollywood, they need to create a movie that will sell and if it means making their own version of Troy, so be it. I loved Eric Bana's role in the movie, Hector, and he did a really good job playing his role and I look forward to watching his movies in the future. And of course, we have our pretty boy Orlando Bloom. It just screamed Legolas when he used a bow and arrow as he even acted like Legolas when using the bow! Aside from the flaws in the movies, it was a good movie. Anyways, it's 1:30am and I am listening to X Japan - Art of Life. The song is 30 minutes of sex, go download it; you will not be disappointed.

Script updates after another. MT hits 3.00

Today, Sixapart (developers of Movabletype) went 3.0 which caused an uproar among the MT community as they went commercial. They do have a free version, however it restricts the user to 1 author and 3 weblog (OH. NO.). Like it matters, whoever needs more than one needs to get a social life, or learn how to organize it into one weblog.

Anyways, I just noticed it on the Wordpress support forums and thought it was cool news. And here's something taken from the forums concerning Sixapart's decision.

Wordpress 1.2 Delta Released2

Newest version of Wordpress, which powers this weblog, is released. Well, it was released several days ago, it is just that I noticed it today and installed it.

Sorry3

All the things I wanted to do are put on delay, finals week is next week and this week I need to prepare for next week. Which means a whooole lot of work and what not. I don't have time to customize Wordpress to how I want it right now, but it'll be fixed upon the next layout which is delayed until next weekend. As for the people who commented, thanks, it is appreciated. I'll check out your layout when I am on my breaktime y2 :D. As for the CSS, I already started researching about it, mainly reading this extensive guide here during whenever I am on my break. And my layouts would probably come out quicker if I don't keep scrapping them as I am on my fifth one for this next version already! I will probably end up making a really clean simple one (since minimalistic is my thing) and then have a theme picker in which you can set it to another complex one since I have 5 different layouts that I begun and I want to finish them all.

I will probably end up blogging once or twice this week, depending on how heavy my load is.

need to ace, need to ace, NEED TO ACEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
