Life. How plain it is.

This weekend was pretty enjoyable, thanksgiving sales come about and I don't seize the oppurtunity
On Saturday I went to my cousin's to visit them. Since I've been growing up, I never did get to talk with my cousins like other people do (probably because of the age issue, them being way older than me) but I ended up going just to talk and visit my cousin's daughter. Now, I don't know why I am "less manly" as people put it when I say she is cute, because she is (to the right). Half white and half chinese (represent!) she just turned a little over one. When I told my co-worker about this, she called me a pedo and I was like "…." But anyways, it turned out to be a pretty enjoyable weekend, two of my cousins are getting married and I am trying to fix my schedule so I can go to both, one of them which is going to be held in Hawaii. On Sunday, I opened up the store at my job, and later decorated the place to get it into the Christmas spirit. So if you see a messed up Coldstone that looks like an 8th grader decorated it, that's me
Anyways, I talked to our manager and found out that we are having a secret santa so I might stay til after that happens rather than quit next week. None of my real life friends except for like, maybe one, reads this so I won't bother telling them that I planned to stay. Did nothing else that day except panic on this week's school schedule. I have two essays and another math test due towards the end of the week and I am SO screwed.
Anyways, I was listening to the radio the other day and they were playing old school songs. I noticed music SUCKS SO BAD compared to the old days when the lyrics meant something and the mood/beat of the music is cool. Now today, for rappers, it's who has the most bling. For pop, it's how they lost or didn't pursue someone they liked/crushed on. For grunge/metal/hard rock, I am still trying to understand what they are saying. But ya, music was so much better back then, I enjoy lunch hours when they play all the old school songs. And what is up with people remixing today? SomeMost of the remixes are horrible, it's like it plays over one verse 20 times until it is killed. I hate all the remixes because of how bad they fuck up the song, well except some, which if the DJ does it right, it is better than the original ![]()

She is so cute! She is! And yeah, all my cousins are way older than me (most are in their thirties, now), and it can suck. Especially family get togethers. Yuck.

i TOTALLY know the feeling about not being able to talk to your cousins cause they are so much older. i’m the youngest in the family, and the only one still in school (incl. college) and i’m only in highschool. my cousins are almost all married with children and they have such cute little babies. but your cousin’s daughter is most def. the cutest baby in the world!!! aww.

I know what you mean about the music! I love some bands from the 80’s. But, they weren’t the normal bands. Er, but as far as metal/hard rock/etc goes, there is some good music today. But, I don’t like how this is slowly being taken over by pop-punk. And I think the radio has been corrupted. I stick to cd’s and sometimes listen to online industrial streams.

your cousin is the cutest
and i too, feel the same way about music. Tho old stuff were awesome. I’m very indifferent about rap/hip-hop but i love the snoop dog, dr. dre, tupac and such…Nowaday, rap has turn into something not worth respecting for. It’s rare to find one good rapper that raps for a cause. And about pop. There’s two kinds of em. The talented ones, the REAL role models, like Norah Jones, John Mayer, Alicia Keys…and the DIRRTY POP like X-tina and Britney, who believes that they are role models to innocent young people. PFFT! yeah! role models to the future sluts!! And rock. ROCK my love has come to the part that it’s too cliched. Everything is so damn predictable. Rockers nowadays will say crap that they are “nonconformist” BUT, FUCK IT! THEY ARE ALIKE! Spike belts, eccentric hair colours, “i hate myself and god hates us all” attitude. The only thing that changed about rock is the backstage issue. It aint so exciting as before…or so they say…
