SERVER DOWN0

Why was it down you ask? WHY!? Right when we moved into out new server, someone decided to DDOS a spanish website that was on this server, resulting in server crashand hardware failure. They also found a backdoor virus on the server so we had to get all the hardware fixed. Everything should be fine though, not like anyone was sad when the site was down or anything.

I already have the new layout made, just need to code it and recode and add more content back onto the site, expect it up sometimes next week.

LIFE AS A SENIOR1

Stole this from someone

Senior year is unlike any other. Here are a few things you should know…

It won't hit you when you wake up for your last first day of school. Your telling me, it hit me like a quarterback hits a nerd

It won't hit you as you walk into the locker room for the first time as an official senior.

It won't hit you when you cheer at your last homecoming rally and attend your last football game. haha, fuck school spirit. i refuse to give any of my money to the games

It won't hit you as you go to your last homecoming dance and realize Prom is way better without the lower classmen and the DJ. dances? socials? hrm
It won't hit you as you enter the floor to perform at state for the last time.

It won't hit you as you fill out the countless college applications.

It won't hit you as you write that generic essay letter that you try to use for all your applications.

It won't hit you as your college friends return for Christmas break and give you all their advice. friends? ah-ha….ahahahahahahahaha

It won't hit you as you celebrate New Year's with the friends you have known since childhood.how does that hit me if i do it every year, i should hit you for that

It won't hit you when you cheer at your last senior night and cry your eyes out. i didn't cry, i think something is wrong with me. see crying is for people who knw they aren't going to see each other. i plan to keep in touch with people i care about, for everyone else, they can suck my nuts….well not really come here and suck it, but you get my point.

When March finally comes around and you realize that is your last Prom, but you don't really feel it when you are there having the time of your life. first, last, and only dance i shall ever bother attending. next time someone makes me attend a dance, it better be a supermodel sucking my balls while begging me

You won't feel it when you are having the time of your life on your last spring break. yes, because going to work, and staying home all day was the time of my life

You don't realize it during Senior Ditch Day, when everyone, no matter what group they are in, has a picnic. there was only one group, the delinquents (sp?)

You begin to realize it at Graduation and Grad Nite when you look around and realize that you will never see half these people again. hell. yes. keyword: NEVER

You will begin to see it more over the summer when everyone is getting their roommates, class schedules, and going to orientation.

You will begin to see it more when you are sitting in your room packing up the past 18 years of your life, laughing with your best friend about all the stupid things you have done. haha, remember that time when those black guys kicked my ass when i called them racial slurs? ya, that sucked

You might feel it the morning you leave for college as that it is the last time you will see your room, your parents, and your best friend for like 3 months.

It will finally hit you when you are sitting in your dorm room with a perfect stranger that you have to live with for the next year…

Make every moment of your senior year count; you only get to do it once, College will be a lot of fun, but in the mean time, jump at every opportunity you get to do anything that you have ever wanted to do. Spend as much time with your friends as possible, for it will not be long until you meet new people and inevitably grow apart. new friends, new friends!

I am currently working on the new layout for the site, and since I'm bored as hell everyday, I'm going to slip back into the e/n scene. :o Be scared.

NEWS NEWS NEWS!0

Pushing to make P2P illegal
Wired news has an article about a new bill that would make it a felony to upload a file to a P2P network." EFF has a copy of the bill online. Conyers and Berman both get over a quarter of their campaign funding from Hollywood, according to opensecrets.org. You may remember Berman from this bill and this one.

All I can say is that's scary, but they have been trying to do that for years, so good luck with that.

Sony recuiting emulator programmers
According to ZDNet Japan, Sony Computer Entertainment has started recruiting experienced emulator programmers to work as regular or contract employees. The qualifications required for the position include experience in the development of emulators, experience with Just-in-Time Compiler, and knowledge of CPU micro-architecture. Some experience in video game debugging is also preferred. While SCE has not explained its motives for the recruitment, there is speculation that the company may be planning to run an emulator on it next-generation game console, the PlayStation 3, for backward-compatibility with previous PlayStation consoles.

TODAY. I BIKED.1

Today was interesting. I did everything I want to except for going to the gym. Woke up at 11:39 AM, oversleeping, because I had work at 12PM. I got dressed, cleaned up, loaded my bike, loaded my gear and left the house in 10 minutes. If that's not quick, don't tell me what is. I just worked from 12-5, nothing special about it, people still waiting outrageously long for ice cream, don't know why, don't really care, more tips for me :)

After though, me and two other co-workers went bike riding. I busted out that Huffy bike I had since I was fifth grade and had it cleaned up the night before. We biked from Long beach to Seal Beach, took us roughly around 45 minutes against the blisteringly hot sun and the wind. Nature was not with us. When we got there it was really relaxing, since we ate at this cheap mexican place (pic here) and when I mean cheap, I'm talking about the price because the food, was damn good. I mean, damn good. We were also next to the Coldstone at Seal Beach, and although the location was nice, that looked like such a shitty place. That and most of the customers were kids since kids would want ice cream right after going to beach. We were going to make fun of the crew by going in and pretending we don't know jack shit and asking all these questions and in the end, just saying we don't want any…but man, after what we saw, it wasn't worth degrading them anymore. I mean, one of the workers shouted they would dance and sing for 3 dollars (pic here, they are the circled people, on the counter). That means, they are desperate for tips. VERY DESPERATE. We get 5 dollar tips all the time and the most we do is sing a little louder, we _WOULD_ not even dance for 5 dollars. Oh well, you do what you gotta do. This biking exercise was really fun, so now, I am biking with them since one of them goes biking a lot, I'm just going to tag along.

We had left at 5 PM and when I dropped off my friend at 9PM. We would've got back sooner if one of the workers thought it'll be smart to go in the wrong direction (thinking he's right) while everyone else went the other way, so we had to go back and look for him. But if we didn't have that detour, we would've been back at 8PM. Go to Seal Beach, chill for an hour and ride back. :)

LAST COUPLE OF DAYS0

The Recruit
It's a good movie, I recommend it for anyone who is into CIA and such. A CIA recuiter (Al Pacino) recruits this bright young man (Colin Farell) to the CIA. Twisted plot ensued, have to watch it, because the more I say the more I spoil.

Enter The Matrix
That's what I've been playing for the last several days. You can play as either Ghost or Niobe, kinda sucks because you can't go up against Agents then. I really like the combat mode in the game because you could do your own type of combos with pressing certain buttons and movements. The only thing that was stupid about the game is the AI for driving (it is VERY VERY horrible) and the first person shooter mode (too choppy). The installation takes up 3 gigs but that is because of all the cinematics there is in the game. (some clips from Matrix Reloaded, some made just for the game). I don't know why my friends said it sucked, I think it's awesome.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
I want my money back. Everything was way too unrealistic, in my opinion, but hey, this is make-believe. The characters in the movie were all characters from a well known book. Like Tom Sawyer, Captain Nemo (80k leagues under the sea), Rodney Skinner (The Invisible Man), Dr. Henry Jekyll aka Mr. Edward Hyde, Dorian Gray (The Picture of Dorian Gray), Allan Quatermain (Allan Quatermain) and Mina Harker (Dracula). All in all, don't see it, it may be exciting for kids and whatnot, but it was stupid for me.

Matrix + Ping Pong + Crazy Japanese = Video

New toy!1

Two days ago, I bought my first PDA, the Zire 71. Now this thing is awesome, not only does it function like a PDA, it comes with a built in camera that takes OK pics. The other thing it comes with is it could also serve as a mp3 player, which is the two things I really needed. So buying this for the price I got it for (200$ USD) was an extremely good thing. I spent another 86$ on a 256 mb SD card (requires an SD card to play mp3s) and a SD card reader (faster transfer between rather than the default thing it comes with. All in all, I am very happy with this. I can take pics through it's sneaky built-in camera while listening to my mp3 player.

New layout7

New layout! And yes, it's 3d abstract, and yes, I know everyone has one, but I feel the need to have one also. Comment on how good it is, I'm still debating whether or not I should continue with this style. I'll be fixing it up here and then

[edit]woohoo! I am now XHTML 1.0 Transitional and CSS validated. now to work on XHTML 1.1 Strict and update my CSS to CSS2 :)

Random Thoughts1

Time to clear my head. Join in if you want :P

I dislike how cops, are suppose to catch crimes, yet they break it themselves. How utterly unfair. Example? They abuse their power with the sirens, since when they turn it on, they can move through red lights. I've seen it multiple times when a cop doesn't want to wait, they turn on their lights and just past the intersection…then turn it off. Man, I just want to slap them when they do that. It's unfair, I mean, at least let me in on it (thinks about buying sirens).

This is a rant to my damn boss at work. Boss, as in owner, we also have team leaders and manager, but they are really cool. Like, this may be small to you guys, but when he does it a lot, it gets annoying. What is it? It's the lack of DRINKING WATER. If you know me or you read my previous blogs, you know I work at an icecream store which requires me to sing and talk a lot. That makes me thirsty, when I have to talk for one hour straight. I go to the back and what is this? No water? Oh we have water but NO CUPS!? Damn you boss, damn you to hell. We always have to go to Starbucks to get water but I don't think they are appreciating it either. That and we got a new assistent manager to the store. Unlike the other management, this one it like a slave to the boss, listening to EXACTLY everything he says, which, we are suppose to do. But hey, sometimes we just gotta do things our way. So anyways, because of that we get off work later than usual because we don't closeup and it's just little things she does that pisses me off. Like we are suppose to wash our own shit after we are done using it, but she doesn't. And what does that lead to? Some poor sap cleaning a shitload of dishes.

Whew that felt good to rant. WHEW
